rep/amph: "Reptiles & Amphibians

What is a reptile ? They have backbones, which is why they are known as vertebrates. They also breathe air, lay eggs, and have scales. All reptile are ectothermic, that means they depend on their outside environment for body heat. That is why you see lizards and snakes sunning themselves, they don't want a tan, just to get warm.

Amphibians are animals that can live on land or in the water. They have lungs, like we do, but they can also breathe through their skin. Like reptiles, amphibians are also cold-blooded.

There are many reptiles and amphibians that we think are weird."
